Toddler Assistant Qualifications
The assistant(s) support(s) the Director/Directress in preparing, cleaning and maintaining the environment in which the Montessori approach to education is implemented.
The ideal Assistant will have:
The ideal Assistant will have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
- One to two years of classroom experience (less experience will be considered)
- A passion for working with the toddler age group
- Dedicated to supporting both the Guide and school’s mission
- Ability to carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs
- Ability to easily sit on the floor and move frequently around the classroom
- Willingness and ability to take walks with children regardless of inclement weather when applicable
- Willingness and ability to change diapers and assist with potty training utilizing the method that the school uses
- Can work at least six consecutive hours and the same hours 5 days a week
