The Classroom

Student Cycles
  • Toddler 18 mo.-3 years
  • Primary - 3-6 years
  • Lower Elementary - 6-9 years
  • Upper Elementary - 9-12 years
  • Adolescents - 12-15 years

Physical Classroom
  • Large windows to allow for natural light 
  • Large open areas for floor work
  • Student sized tables and chairs strategically placed around classroom

Available Resources
  • Cycle specific Montessori materials incorporating science, math, writing, reading, grammar, vocabulary, geography, and life skills. 
  • Laptops, for students in Upper Elementary and Middle School

Based on the AMI Training Center Curriculum

Incorporates community relevant programming like farming, STEM Scouts and animal care.

Managed by the classroom guide (teacher), overseen by Head of School.

​The Educators

Guides (teachers) to follow A.M.I. Montessori pedagogy guidelines

College degree and A.M.I. Accreditation

Hierarchy
  • Headmaster
  • One Director in each classroom for each cycle
  • One Assistant per toddler/primary classroom and 1 per 2 elementary classrooms (Future growth will include Lead Directors of each cycle.)
  • Music specialists for all cycle levels
  • Science and Math specialists for the Adolescents

  • Comic Drawing Class
  • Mindfulness

​The Family Role

  • To encourage and support their children’s learning plans, based on their specific level of development
  • To adapt their home environment where possible to encourage creative free play with limited technology
  • To share specific skill sets with the students, and share in their children’s education to the fullest extent they are willing and able

​The Community Role

  • To share expertise of skills, services and/or businesses
  • To identify and offer opportunities for age-appropriate student engagement and learning  experiences
  • To support outreach programs developed by the students and the school
