Thank you for your interest in Montessori Seeds of Education (MSOE).
Our programs will foster a love of learning, and your child will be an active contributing member to the school community. Choosing an authentic Montessori experience with Montessori Seeds of Education will provide your child with the skills and nurtured innate characteristics and tendencies to be a successful and fulfilled, interdependent, contributing member of society. We look forward to getting to know your family as you explore our community.
Our admissions process is designed to give you the opportunity to understand the wonder of an authentic Montessori education and to show you that we are the community where your child(ren) and family can thrive. This is accomplished by including the following:
Step 1. Parent Introduction and Classroom Observation
To learn about our school and better understand how a Montessori education can benefit your child and family, it may be necessary to observe the classroom(s) that meet your interests and needs for your child(ren). First, parents are provided with an information packet via Constant Contact and confirmation of the scheduled tour via Google Calendar. After the tour, on a different day, you have the option to observe our students during class time. After the observation, at the end of the school day, our staff can answer additional questions regarding our program(s). Observation appointments must be scheduled in advance and can not start until 6 weeks after the school year starts.
Whether you choose to observe or not, after meeting and touring, if you would like to be considered to move on, you may fill out an application per step 2 below.

Step 2. Application
After the parent tour and after the observation if you choose to have one, you are invited to fill out our Admission Application. This shows us your level of interest and holds your space as we are filling up our classrooms quickly. Click here for the application. There is a $45 nonrefundable application fee per child.
Step 3. Classroom Visit by the Student – 1 - 3 days
Upon receipt of the Admission Application, parents will be contacted so the student may have an opportunity to visit his or her prospective class. Classroom visits will be granted to accommodate both parent and classroom schedules. Admission for any student is not guaranteed and a decision is only reached after a visit by the child lasting from 1-3 days.
Applicants are scheduled for a visit during which children engage with the Montessori environment. We are interested in whether children are reasonably comfortable in a new situation; whether they are able, at a level appropriate to their age, to focus on an activity presented by a teacher; and whether they can communicate in age-appropriate ways. General knowledge abilities such as recognition of letters, numbers or colors, are not a factor in admissions decisions.

Step 4. Enrollment
Once the student has visited his/her prospective class, a decision will be made by the staff and administration regarding acceptance. Upon acceptance, parents will be invited to fill out our Enrollment form and pay the deposit, which is credited towards your first tuition payment. For children entering a program mid-cycle, the following criteria and details will apply. Children between the ages of 2 years 9 months and 3 years 9 months are eligible for enrollment in the Toddler or Primary Program. Children 4 years or older and children with special needs will be considered on an individual basis for the Primary, Elementary or Adolescent Program.
Step 5. Ensuring we have a good fit
Upon being enrolled, there will be a two week window of observation. If the program does not seem like it is a fit for either party, then that decision must be made within two weeks, unless there are extenuating circumstances. This experience is necessary to ensure that the needs and expectations of the child, family, and class are all met.
Additionally, we encourage you to learn as much as possible about our programs and the Montessori Method.
