Eighteen months through Fifteen years old
Do you want your child to be inspired? We invite you to give your child that opportunity. |
"The secret of good teaching is to regard the child’s intelligence as a fertile field in which seeds may be sown, to grow under the heat of flaming imagination. Our aim therefore is not merely to make the child understand, and still less to force him to memorize, but so to touch his imagination as to enthuse him to his inmost core." Montessori Seeds of Education Overview
At Montessori Seeds of Education (M.S.O.E.) in Moorestown of Burlington County South Jersey, children ages 18mo. - 15 years old, are nurtured and supported based on their developmental plane. In our Toddler (18mo.-3 yr olds), Primary (3 - 6 yr olds), Elementary (6 - 12 yr olds) and Adolescent (12-15 yr olds) Programs, they are empowered with transferable skills through a multi-sensory, interactive and social education. A sensory education including self-correcting materials is used to construct a multifaceted knowledge of the self and the world. It supports children to learn how to be productive in it. They engage in practical activities both inside and outside of the classroom. Regular communication occurs with families. Meanwhile, consistent interactions with the guide and peers in the classroom aides in educating the whole child. Education does not begin and end with the child. It continues with the collaboration of both the families and the school.
M.S.O.E. provides families with what they need for successful and fulfilling independent and interpersonal relationships. We are about transforming the present isolating educational paradigm to empower families. This is accomplished by creating opportunities for children and families to sow their own seeds and reap the lifetime benefits from the experience of an authentic Montessori education. Utilizing Dr. Maria Montessori’s pedagogy, M.S.O.E. offers universal and timeless lessons, while focusing on the whole child and the family unit. Families will experience a collaborative education with teachers through cooperation and a desired involvement. This approach to education is foreign to most families and yet research is finally validating its necessity.
In fact, for example, it is repeatedly being confirmed by contemporary neuroscience. (Read Mario Valle article) It offers freedom with responsibility, tailored to the age and ability of the child. The M.S.O.E. guide (teacher) is an expert in observing and facilitating the development of each individual child, who also has the added benefit of peer learning through mixed age groups.
At M.S.O.E., Guides and peers of the classroom become successful and fulfilled for what we hope to be an even more thriving and thoughtful society. We are preparing them to be able to adapt and excel. Education such as this is truly the paved road that needs to be followed for internal and external peace. The Montessori environment was and is created for these very reasons. A particular predictability and order brought about by learning responsibility in the classroom allows children to feel in control of their learning and to exercise the flexibility of adapting when necessary. They have the opportunity to learn that it is in their power to change and improve their own lives, as well as the lives of others. Children are given the sense that they can contribute to changing the world even more with the experience of the Montessori Model United Nations Program at the Upper Elementary level. Come see the M.S.O.E. difference. Schedule an observation now.
"Here is an essential principal of education: to teach details is to bring confusion; to establish the relationship between things is to bring knowledge."
