Summer Registration 2021

Information is accurate and in the process of being updated!
Summer will be here before you know it and the MSOE Summer Program following the 2020-2021 school year continues to grow and bring new and exciting adventures, activities, and exciting opportunities for your children. Summer camp is open to Toddler and Primary aged children.

THE PROGRAM

The Summer program will run for 10 weeks in total starting June 21st through August 27th. There will be Montessori lessons and work reinforcing what they learned during the past school year and onward along with whatever their needs or desires happen to be.

  • Swimming will continue as last year with some instruction (and lessons if needed) with a trained, certified lifeguard and MSOE staff member in small groups for parents that are comfortable with this activity.
  • STEAM – The program incorporates S-Science, T-Technology, E-Engineering, A-Art, M-Math into exciting projects and activities, expected to launch at MSOE during the remaining part of the school year and continue on during the Summer Program with many engaging challenges.
  • Creative Art Program – Ms. Katie, (Ms. Mary’s daughter) will schedule her art activities for at least the first three weeks of summer camp and then again after July 20th. Visit this link to see more information on her Art Program here. Ms. Jane will take her place until her return. Ms. Jane has been doing art with the elementary children and worked with the Primary aged children, as well as toddlers, last summer.
  • Yoga – Might be coming back for throughout the summer, too!
  • For 6 weeks – from July 6th through August 13th, “Theme” week will be offered. Each week, the children will experience a different educational theme each week including “The Ocean”, “Music and Movement”, Artistic Expression”, “Wonderful World of Insects and Arachnids”, “Backyard Birds”, “Science”
  • And, who knows, there may even be some more surprises!

THE STAFF

Your children, hosted by trained professionals throughout the Summer Camp will include Ms. Michele, Primary Lead Guide and Ms. Chris, Toddler Lead Guide. They will be with us for six weeks from July 6th through August 13th.

While they will be working most of the Summer, for the weeks Ms. Chris and Ms. Michele will not be with us Ms. Xiomara and Ms. Julie will be responsible for the Toddlers. Ms. Anne will be helping out as well, especially with the Primary aged children, when Ms. Michele is not there. Throughout those days, the toddlers and Primary aged children will be scheduled to have Art with Ms. Katie or Ms. Jane. Ms. Brandie, new to MSOE, will be introducing and conceptualizing STEAM. Activities and projects will encompass math, science, art, technology, and engineering! We will share a biography of Ms. Brandie and other information as soon as it becomes available to us…she comes highly recommended from Mr. Frank, our Adolescent Guide. Ms. Grace will be with us, from aftercare, as well as Ms. Ryann from last summer! Additionally, we will have Lifeguards for swimming.

Parents/Guardians that are not familiar with the adults that work at MSOE may inquire or look at the staff bios on our
website.

MSOE will be quite flexible to suit your needs. Our goal is to bring fun and learning to your child(ren) at an affordable and fair price. There will be discounts for siblings and for signing up for four or more weeks.

If your child is not already enrolled at Montessori Seeds of Education, you may inquire about participating in the summer program and/or enrollment for the school year.
